Amazon.com Product Description From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army Knife a century ago comes the Swiss Army Classic pocketknife, a compact set of tools for campers, hikers, and boy scouts. Measuring 2-1/4 inches long, the Classic is stylishly cased in a timeless solid-colored housing with the familiar Victorinox logo on the side. More importantly, the unit contains all the classic Swiss Army tools, including a small blade for cutting, a pair of mini scissors, a nail file with a screwdriver tip, a toothpick, tweezers, and a key ring. As with all Victorinox items, the Classic is made to exacting standards, with dozens of steps going into its construction. Victorinox attends to every detail, from selecting the finest materials to performing the final inspection. In addition, each individual tool has been hardened in a different way to stand up to its designated use. As with all Victorinox multi-tools, the Classic carries a lifetime warranty. About Swiss Army Knives In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.
Product Description From the renowned Victorinox that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago comes this Classic SD Knife. It contains six tools that put life in order again when they're needed. Measuring just 2-1/4 inches long--less than a pack of gum--and sheathed in red plastic, the Classic pocket knife is a toolbox and manicure kit small enough to fit into a pocket. (It also comes with a key ring.) Stainless-steel tools contained inside are a knife blade, scissors, a nail file with a screwdriver tip, a removable plastic toothpick, and removable tweezers.

great little knife January 6, 2009 GH This little gem is a remarkable value for ten bucks. It's so small it doesn't make a bulge and the rounded corners don't tear your pockets.
Swiss Army Knife (mini) December 29, 2008 Allen Zechman (Philadelphia, PA, USA) Greetings, I placed an order for 3 mini Swiss Army Knives (red), the order was promptly filled and shipped, but unfortunately after 4 weeks and many calls to the local USPS office, they found that the shipment had been returned as undeliverable. If you know any thing about Philadelphia and the USPS right now, you'll get the picture. My account was promptly credited with the return (Yay!) and I promptly reordered, same thing, same address, etc. Four days later I had the order in my hot little fist. Go figure. The vendor was great, never had to contact them. Highly recommended! Z.
Swiss Army Classic Knife December 16, 2008 Roger A. Connor Jr. (Chapel Hill, NC USA) Excellent knife for those minor fingernail grooming, loose threads on clothes, paper cutting or other minor cutting chores.
Classic for a reason December 11, 2008 J. Offenbach (noVA) Each year, I give these little classic knives as gifts to an assortment of people. With the restrictions on knives on aircraft now, they are always appreciated. Since owning and using these on a daily basis for many years, I have yet to have one break or be problematic. I do oil the hinges every year or so at least, more when the knife is used often. It's the most basic knife without bells and whistles and I love it. They are offered in a wide variety of colors and patterns and usually can be found for $10 or less. The Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Pocket Knife is the best in it's class and at the low cost, it's not heartbreaking when one is lost. It's also nice to have a couple on hand in the gift box for the times when someone compliments mine -- I give it away and know that I have a replacement at home.
Great little gadget well worth the price. November 30, 2008 Cheuk-man Kong (Seattle, WA USA) I got this knife for $9. It has a nail file, small knife, scissors, toothpick and a tweezers. I attach it with my key ring and carry it with me in my pocket all the time. It does come in handy occasionally. I rarely use the tweezers since it is pretty small and I don't find it as handy. However, all the other ones are decent, especially the knife. The blade is unexpectedly sharp. The built quality is great. This is a great gadget and I high recommend it.
